SLAYER and MARILYN MANSON have announced that they will co-headline a North American major-market summer tour beginning on July 25 on the East Coast. Plans are for the tour to play some twenty-five cities and wrap up early September on the West Coast. A full, confirmed schedule will be announced shortly. Sometime in 1980 New Musik must have been on Top of the Pops and someone was wise enough to record it and put the file up on youtube. I don’t think New Musik ever played any live gigs, so this is as close as one could get to see New Musik in action.

Why they came back
On that trip Roger sat on stage in an old Manhattan bank converted into a banqueting hall, and I watched as he sang the last song I had written for the Who, Real Good Looking Boy. He sang it solo, accompanying himself on the guitar, eyes closed, not only bringing my song to life in his time-honoured manner, but making it completely his own. It was at that moment I knew the Who - the two of us - could make another decent album. I spent the next eight months or so dedicated to writing the songs for Endless Wire. [more...]

McCartney joins Starbucks label - BBC NEWS
Sir Paul McCartney has been unveiled as the first signing to the music label of coffee house chain Starbucks.The company announced plans last week to sign established and new acts to Hear Music, which has previously released albums of licensed songs.
Its biggest success to date has been the Grammy-winning Genius Loves Company album of Ray Charles duets. [more...]
